vChat – Episode 1 – New vSphere 4.1 and Top 15 Killer Features

In our first ever vChat (episode 1 / “The Pilot”), Simon Seagrave and David Davis discuss the new vSphere 4.1 and its top 15 killer features.

vChat is a regular virtualization video chat covering VMware vSphere, Cloud Computing, Virtualization News, and maybe some geeky humor. Regular contributors are 3 vExperts – Simon Seagrave (TechHead.co.uk), Eric Siebert (vSphere-Land.com), and David Davis (VMwareVideos.com).

    Thanks David.
Nice video and good presentation. I am fan of your training CBTs.

Do you know any specific URL / post / blog where all new features are listed and explained in detail? I checked on VMware website and I don’t find one.

This looks to be a great presentation and there must be a lot of demand for it — I’ve not been able to get it to stream more than about six minutes in. Good stuff, though, and I hope the streaming gets fixed soon.

    Hi Celeritas,
Sorry you’re having trouble with the video streaming! I just ran through the video and it worked for me so I’m not sure what the issue was. Perhaps on the next post I will try a different hosting service.
I really appreciate you watching and welcome your feedback!
    All the best to you,
    David

    Hi Ariel,

I too prefer to watch things on my iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV 🙂

I’m working on getting this in iTunes now and will post here as soon as the feed is ready and accepted by Apple.

    Thanks!

    David:

Whatever gremlin was in the way seems to have disappeared so I did get to see the video. Good stuff. I have built an ESXi 4.1 test box and look foward to exploring all the new goodies.

We’ve got an EqualLogic PS4000X and I believe the latest firmware is actually ready for the new API’s. It’ll be interesting to see what difference they make with the speed of snapshots and the like.
