VIDEO: Interview of Justin Lauer from Tintri (@Justin_Lauer @TintriInc)

by David Davis on July 21, 2011

In a recent interview at the Chicago vForum, I interviewed vExpert (and former vSpecialist), Justin Lauer (@Justin_Lauer) about his new company, Tintri (www.Tintri.com). In the video, Justin explains how Tintri offers SAN storage that is dedicated to VMware vSphere. Even better, Tintri storage actually UNDERSTANDS vSphere, virtual machines, VMDK files, VMX files, and virtual machine swap files. It is the first purpose-built storage for vSphere and it easily managed from the vSphere Client using a plug-in. Just says that Tintri can show you vSphere VM storage performance stats that have never been this easy to view and because the array works by using both SSD and traditional disk, it offers HUGE performance for vSphere VMs.
